The 2008 "Learn-to-Sail" Day-Camp is for boys and girls ages 9 through 12. Each 5-day class will run from 8 am to 3 pm. Each day we'll sail several times. We'll also have games, classroom discussion, and land drills. Our certified sailing instructors will teach a group of up to 14 kids, each sailing one of Sail Corpus Christi's high-quality Optimist-class sailboats

FREE or HALF PRICE enrollment

  • Kids who are eligible for free or reduced-price school lunch are eligible for FREE or HALF PRICE courses at Sail Corpus Christi.  An alternative method of qualification is available to students who can't prove participation in the school lunch program.  Scholarships are limited in number, so reserve early.  If you think you may qualify, call 884-2600 for details.

Parent Orientation

  • Parents are asked to attend our brief orientation meeting the Saturday before their child's class begins, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.  Kids are welcome, too.  Parents are always welcome to come and watch anytime they choose.  Please borrow one of our life jackets to wear if you'd like to walk out onto the dock--US Sailing and our insurance company insist on this.
